University Behavioral Health of Denton is the area's only private freestanding hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Located in Denton and convenient to surrounding counties, UBH provides services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Call the UBH Care Center
The UBH Care Center accepts referrals, inquiries, and information calls 24 hours seven days per week. Qualified Mental Health Professionals answer the Care Center Line and will provide free initial assessments to determine the most appropriate level of care that may help individuals with mental health and/or chemical dependency problems. When indicated, licensed psychiatrists will determine when hospitalization is required.

UBH Levels of Caring

Intensive Care Crisis Unit - Secured inpatient environment for individuals in serious mental health crisis that provides intensive supervision and support to patients.

Inpatient Stabilization Program - Inpatient care that helps those who need acute psychiatric care and stabilization in a safe, supportive atmosphere. Patients follow a structured schedule of therapeutic groups, activities, and educational sessions.

Partial Hospitalization Program - Provides an intensive structured outpatient alternative to inpatient hospitalization. The program is for individuals who do not require 24-hour care.

Intensive Outpatient Program - A less intensive three days per week outpatient program designed for individuals that do not require inpatient admission. These individuals need a structured, intensive, individually tailored opportunity to strengthen their daily functioning.
